Asalagha Okuboere Maria (Mrs.), FGIPM is a distinguished Public Health Administrator,
Compliance Specialist, and Fellow of the Global Institute of Project Management
(FGIPM). She is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in healthcare
management, regulatory enforcement, and community health leadership.
She currently serves as the Director of Public Health Administration at the Bayelsa State
Hospitals Management Board, where she plays a pivotal role in policy implementation,
healthcare governance, and strategic planning to enhance medical service delivery
across the state.
Additionally, she is the Director of Ethics & Compliance at the Global
Institute of Project Management (GIPM), ensuring adherence to the highest professional
and ethical standards in project management and governance.
Mrs. Asalagha has a strong background in nursing, midwifery, accident & emergency care,
and infectious disease management, with vast experience in HIV/AIDS treatment,
disaster management, and community health interventions. She has served in key
positions at renowned institutions, including the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, Niger
Delta University Teaching Hospital, and the University Teaching Hospital Kumasi, Ghana.
Her expertise spans emergency response, healthcare risk management, and regulatory
compliance.
A passionate advocate for ethical governance, she holds certifications in forensic
science, fraud investigation, disaster risk reduction, and community policing. She has an
MBA in Public Health Administration from Imo State University, a Postgraduate Diploma
in Public Health Management from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, and a
Doctorate in Church Administration from Wycliffe University and ATS California.
Beyond her professional career, she is actively involved in faith-based and humanitarian
services, serving as an Area Church Administrator and Treasurer of the District Project &
Evangelical Team at Greater Evangelism World Crusade (GEWC).
With her extensive expertise in healthcare administration, project management, ethics,
compliance, and governance, Mrs. Asalagha continues to be a driving force in
strengthening Nigeria’s healthcare system and promoting sustainable public health
policies.
